Chromolite™ is a third generation, state-of-the-art hair reduction and skin rejuvenation system that provides powerful features and economy in a single, portable device. How It Works: Unlike most Intense Pulsed Light Systems on the market today, no cooling gel is needed during treatments with the Chromolite™ device. Due to the nature of the treatment, red and/or yellow spectrum light energy can be applied to the sub-surface skin layers for gentle and gradual results with reduced side effects and minimal patient discomfort. Chromolite™ utilizes a single, lightweight, ergonomic hand piece that contains a Smartlite™ flash lamp that accepts filter attachments and lasts many times longer than other lamps (200,000 shots as opposed to 2,500 for some competitor models). Chromolite™ works by employing a broad spectrum of light energy in a range of wavelengths and supplies high levels of light power in millisecond bursts. There is no need to overlap the large 15mm x 50mm treatment area provided by the Smartlite™ flash lamp. The average time it takes to treat a full set of legs is 45 minutes and a man’s full back can be treated in 10 minutes. This treatment efficiency is tremendously important to the owner of the system because reduced treatment times means more satisfied patients at far less overhead.
Also available only with the Chromolite™ system, is the Chromotest™ melanin reader. A revolutionary idea in Intensed Pulsed Light safety and effectiveness, Chromotest™ is used to read the melanin content of each patient’s skin. With this information, Chromolite™ can be calibrated to the exact Intense Pulsed Light power level setting needed for each individual’s procedure.
